SEO Plugins and Tips for Wordpress Bloggers
In this Tutorial I hope to give some great SEO tips to users of the blogging Content Management System, Wordpress.
The plugins I recommend are not miracle cures to Wordpress blogs, but have good content and what is SEO without content?
With this in mind lets get things started with the All in One SEO Pack!
This little gem will help you add keywords, and long titles.
First go here to download the first plugin and then upload to your /wp-content/plugin/ folder. After activating it, go to wp-admin/options-general.php?page=all-in-one-seo-pack/all_in_one_seo_pack.php
Let’s set it all up:
Title
The title is where you will want to have all your main keywords. I have included my “title” and my “tag line” as an example. Also for fun, I’ve popped my name in (now my family can easily find me ha!)
Meta
This is where you really want to add those keywords in big time. Everything that you want to be searched for, add here! Also from my experience “Google” sometimes uses your Home description on the listing!
The Other Settings
The other settings are up to you really, I have not changed any of them.
Posting To Your Blog
Now this is where this plugin really works. After you have written the best article ever, it’s time to fill this in. You can have the title as long as you want, meaning you can fill it with keywords.
Google XML Sitemaps
Now download the second key seo plugins which is the “Google XML Sitempage plugin. Go here to get the latest version, then upload it as you did with the first plugin. This amazing kit is going to create a sitemap every time you update your blog and it then saves you the effort of logging into Google webmasters by pinging it (No work needed!!) I would recommend setting a Google Webmasters account up first though!!
